Keyboard Shortcuts
Nearly every action has a keyboard shortcut, so annotating stays quick.
Inside the app, the ? button in the bottom-left corner shows the same list.
Switching tools

| T | Text (press again to toggle the text-box variant) |
| M | Frames (each press cycles rectangle → rounded → ellipse → line) |
| P / Shift+P | Pen / Highlighter |
| S | Numbered badges |
| B | Redaction — black, white, blur, pixelate (each press cycles the mode) |
| C | Crop (Enter to confirm) |
| Esc / V | Dismiss (first press closes palettes, second clears the selection) |
Editing
| Enter | Edit the selected text (both Text and Text Box) |
| Ctrl+C / X / V | Copy / Cut / Paste |
| Ctrl+D | Duplicate |
| Delete | Delete |
| Ctrl+Z | Undo |
| Ctrl+Shift+Z / Ctrl+Y | Redo |
| Ctrl+A | Select all |
| Shift+Ctrl+A | Deselect (keeps the current tool) |
Move & transform (with a selection)
| ↑↓←→ | Nudge 1px |
| Shift+arrows | Nudge 10px |
| Alt+arrows | Scale by 0.5% (add Shift for 5%) |
| Shift+drag | Move along one axis only (no diagonal drift) |
| Shift while drawing a line/arrow | Snap to 45° |
Styling (with a selection)
| X | Toggle fill / stroke and open the palette |
| Shift+X | Swap fill and stroke colors |
| D | Reset to the tool's default colors |
| T | Cycle fonts (text selected) |
Selecting (mouse)
| Drag | Rubber-band select (works from outside the canvas too) |
| Shift+click | Add to / remove from the selection |
| Shift+drag (from empty space) | Add by rubber band (add Alt to subtract) |
| Hold Ctrl | Temporary select tool (rubber-band while a drawing tool is armed) |
Double-click
| Text | Enter edit mode (both Text and Text Box) |
| Line-height handle (the ↕ above the text) | Reset line height to the default (1.35) |
| Letter-spacing handle (the ↔ below the text) | Reset letter spacing to the default (0) |
View
| 1 | 100% (1 image pixel = 1 screen pixel) |
| 0 / F | Fit to window |
| + / − | Zoom in / out (15% steps) |
| Ctrl+wheel | Zoom |
| Space | Hand tool (while held) |
| H | Temporarily hide all annotations (to check the image underneath) |
